Our church is proud to be participating for the second time at the Miami Beach Gay Pride Parade and Festival. We are joining the coalition of Interfaith Miami, which is comprised of 15 progressive and affirming congregations and temples from Miami-Dade County.
On Saturday, April 7, at 6:00 p.m. join us as we participate at Interfaith Miami’s 6th Annual Poster Making Party. All creative abilities welcomed! Please bring an X-Acto knife if you have one, white poster boards, and markers or sharpies. This artistic get together will take place in our Social Hall. We will have some wine and refreshments available.
We are looking for volunteers to come and help us decorate our interfaith float with our theme for this year “United in Love” We will meet at our Parade Line Up Location (TBA) at 8:30 a.m. to begin to decorate our float. If you have a design or decorating eye, please join us.
We will also be participating in the 6th Annual Interfaith Worship service at Miami Beach Gay Pride. The service will take place between 9th and 10th street starting at 10:30 a.m. This is a beautiful service led by members from all of the 13 participating congregations. If you would like to represent our church, please email Harold Marrero at email@example.com.
After the Interfaith worship service, please join us at our float to finish decorating and to begin our journey down Ocean Drive. This will be our second time participating at Pride, so we would love to get a sizeable delegation from our congregation to take part in the parade on the float team or walking team. We will be handing out brochures and promotional materials from the float to the crowd. Our float this year will have music and will feature our very own Elektra (Jim Buff) as our Float’s EMCEE.
Miami Beach Pride is a family friendly festival, so bring your whole family to this event. There is no better witness than to showcase our variety of families with a welcoming message towards all of God’s children.
